One month into the third season of the tournament, the first set of leaders has emerged in the competition for the stage’s top reward – a trip to the Wimbledon Championships.
The competition for Wimbledon begins to take shape
The Kickoff stage is moving at a rapid pace. Following the first month of play, the top-ranked team has reached 256 points. The remaining spots in the top five are currently held by teams with 218, 156, 142, and 100 points, while the rest of the top ten includes scores of 93, 62, 30, 26, and 20 points.
The current point gap is not based solely on traffic volume. Leading teams are also effectively utilizing boosts, special tasks, and stage-specific opportunities. For other participants, failing to use these mechanics can result in a quick loss of ground.
At present, the top ten teams are in the best position to win the primary prize – a trip to the Wimbledon Championships, held from June 29 to July 12, 2026. However, the Kickoff stage continues until June 9, leaving plenty of opportunity for movement throughout May. Several major sporting events are still to come, providing active teams with more chances to accumulate points before the stage ends.
Mystery Box draw anticipates a summer of football
Boomerang Partners is also conducting the first Mystery Box draw during the Kickoff stage of the Golden Boomerang Awards 2026. This feature is separate from the main leaderboard: five active participants have been chosen at random, with another five to be announced by the end of the month. The initial Mystery Boxes have been awarded to Zitora Agency, AskGamblers & Gentoo Media, alfa:search, Gdc group, and AskBonus.
The Mystery Box is connected to the FIFA World Cup 2026, though Boomerang Partners has not yet disclosed the full contents. Currently, the company is only suggesting the boxes contain exclusive football merchandise related to national teams participating in the tournament.
The next phase of the Golden Boomerang Awards 2026 will take place during one of the year’s most active football periods. By that time, the Mystery Box will have a direct association with the FIFA World Cup.
May offers more opportunities for advancement
May serves as the most active portion of the Kickoff stage. The month includes the final rounds of European football tournaments, the NBA and NHL playoffs, Roland Garros, and other major events that draw significant audience interest around key dates.
For affiliate teams, strategic planning is vital during this time. While steady traffic is helpful, the largest gains are expected to come from pushing on the right days, completing extra tasks, and taking advantage of remaining point-earning opportunities before the June 9 deadline.
The opening month has identified the strongest starters. May will determine who can maintain that momentum and who can use the final stretch to secure a spot at Wimbledon.
